I want to tell you about a song. Some of you immediately said ‘I’m not a music person’…others said ‘ok’. For those of you who aren’t music people, I understand…but don’t turn off yet. Challenge yourself. Find the song (click here), listen to it, than tell me what you think. If I’ve completely wasted your time, my apologies…but I doubt it.
The song is from a New York band, spreading goodness under the name The National. They’ve plied their trade for a number of years now, and deserve the title of ‘Pros’. The song is called “Humiliation”. For an un-abated moment, you might share their passion. The ability to set a mood, through music.
When I listen to the tune, I feel peaceful, as the music carries me. The lyrics and voice inspire me, like I imagine Frank Sinatra’s songs did during days of yore. It’s a ‘put it on repeat’ kind of tune for me. You’ll see…the boy can sing and the band knows how to hold you, carefully.
I wanted to share this feeling with you. Good music that’s worth the time.
